Welcome!
First of all very welcome to Jönköping University and the University Library. With this guide I want to share practical information on how to use the University Library. My name is Daniel Gunnarsson, I'm your subject librarian for Business Administration and Economics. You can see my profile on the right. Don't ever hesitate to use library resources or services. Please take a look at the different tabs for more information on specific topics or navigate to other subject guides. If you ever have a problem or a question you can always ask us for support. We are here to serve you!
About the library
By following this link you can learn a lot more about the Library (staff, history, collections, opening hours etc.)
Getting started!
To make it easy for you, as a newcomer, to quickly start using all our services and resources we have a brochure that you can read online. During the first weeks of the semester we will also offer guided library tours both in Swedish and English. See the Library website for detailed information.
Subject guides
The University Library have access to a great number of different databases, collections and e-resources. Since it can be hard to get a general view of all resources and collections we offer you subject guides within different subjects. The purpose is for us, as librarians, to give you recommendations and suggestions to start your information retrieval even if you don't have any previous knowledge. I use more or less the same layout for the different guides so it should be easy for you to navigate and switch between the different guides. Constantly, I also share information on new resources, books, research and business news on my Twitter and Facebook channels as "BusinessLib". Please like or follow for real-time updates. Please note that I'm your subject librarian and it is my responsibility to support you! But as a student at JIBS you also have two other subject librarians. Erik Åkesson - Law and Jenny Lorentzi - Informatics. You can access all our guides from the link below.
